Dr Douglas Terry received his D.D.S from the University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston Dental Branch in 1978. He is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an associate member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, an associate member of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry, a research associate for REALITY Research Lab, and has memberships in the International Association for Dental Research and the ACADEMY OF General Dentistry. He is a member of the editorial staff for the publication Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry and also a member of Oral Design.

Dr Terry received the first place awards in 1998 for Direct Bonding and 1999 for Ten Indirect Laminate Veneers from the AACD Smile Gallery contest, third place award 1999 for Direct Bonding from the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry and has authored numerous articles on aesthetics. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on numerous topics in aesthetic dentistry including hands on participation courses in direct bonding.

He is a consultant and product evaluator for numerous dental manufacturers. He is a clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston, Texas. He is also on faculty at the University of California Los Angeles Center for Esthetic Dentistry. He has earned his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr Terry maintains a private practice in Houston, Texas, emphasizing aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
