Dr. Edelhoff graduated from Dental School in 1991 and earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Aachen in 1994. He served as Visiting Professor at the Dental Clinical Research Center of the Oregon Health and Sciences University, Portland, Oregon from 1999 to 2001. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics and Dental Material Sciences at the University of Aachen, Germany and granted his Ph.D. in June 2003. Dr. Edelhoff is certified as a Specialist in Prosthodontics and member of the German Society of Dental Prosthetics and Material Sciences (DGZPW) and recipient of an award from the DGZPW (1998) and an international research grant of the German Scientific Society (1999). Dr. Edelhoff is the author of numerous clinical and research articles and the scientific statement "Build up of endodontically treated teeth" of the German Society of Dentistry and Oral Medicine.
