Dr. Dorfman graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1983. Upon graduation, he completed a two-year program at a dental hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland. For the past 20 years, Dr. Dorfman has maintained one of the most successful aesthetic dental practices in the Beverly Hills area, where he creates new smiles for everyone from homemakers and businesspeople to some of Hollywood's brightest stars. In addition to being an inventor and the founder of Discus Dental, Dr. Dorfman is the founder and program coordinator for P.A.C.-live, a live patient hands-on course to teach dentists state-of-the-art cosmetic techniques, at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He is also the author of The Smile Guide, past editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Current Opinion in Cosmetic Dentistry and Form & Figure magazines!

Dr. Dorfman is a world-renowned lecturer and author, committed to dental health and education. He also frequently appears on television. Most recently he has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, Extra, E!, CNN, The Osbourne's, The Wayne Brady Show, Oprah, Soap Talk , Sharon Osbourne , Ali & Jack, Good Morning America, Larry King Live and ABC's hit "Extreme Makeover".

Together with the Crown Council, his company Discus Dental raised over 15 million dollars for St. Jude's Hospital, the Children's Dental Center and related children's charities.
