Fifteen years later, CIDE, the first European congress fully dedicated
to esthetic dentistry innovates once again.
The 2005 conference is organised around an original and exciting
topic: "Immediate esthetic dentistry: towards the age of digitalisation."
In this early stage of the 21st century we can clearly foresee the
vast development of digital technologies coming to the rescue of
our profession. At every stage of our diagnosis, of our treatment,
of our documentation, of our communication, or for management, digital
technologies are a must, they cannot be ignored and they are efficient.
This very congress cannot obliterate this evolution: slides are
no more, digital technologies are everywhere; a lecture will be
given, through the web, from Los Angeles, by Sascha Jovanovic, in
order to prove that it is possible to teach and learn from a distance.
Virtual computerised conception and fabrication (CAD-CAM) have now
proved their reliability and precision through various industrial
concepts such as zirconium and alumina, to the great benefit of
esthetic prosthesis with no metal, thus gaining a better biocompatibility
both at the implant and natural teeth level. Digital imaging is
overcoming films and becoming progressively essential to our practice
of esthetic dentistry.
A large exhibition with more than 40 different firms actually present
during these two days will give you the possibility to discover
an array of innovating new materials.
Do consult our full program with CVs, summaries and illustrations
on our website Cidemeeting.com and register as soon as possible.
We'll be waiting for you at the Hotel Hilton Suffren for two memorable
days.
Dr Bernard TOUATI and Dr Paul MIARA
